Bronzed Apothia 2015 Eau de Parfum

First of all, Apothia is one of my favorite houses on the planet. Whatever they're doing, I hope they keep doing it. They seem to have a genius-level ability to play with white florals, citrus and musk in ways that just ooze sensuality, and Bronzed is no exception. Grapefruit and jasmine are the primary notes here, even several hours after the dry down. The musk at the base creates a backdrop of lazing about in the sun on the beach, tanning, tasting salt in the air, listening to the sound of the waves on a busy summer afternoon in Southern California. The Pettigrain acts like a mom who's making sure everyone reapplies their sunscreen every few hours and the Blood Orange and Bergamot roll their eyes because they'd rather get a little sunburn and be tan than not. I associate this scent specifically to the North County beaches in San Diego, Carlsbad, Encinitas and Oceanside. Whimsical, relaxed and a bit posh. 10/10 for me, like all of Apothia's fragrances.
