Member of the Pantheon of Masculine Fragrances
Aramis is in the Pantheon of masculine fragrances, along with Kouros, Antaeus and Guilty Absolute. It's strong with very good performance for an EDT. A dominating scent and a masterpiece.
The opening is slightly citrusy and herby, maybe a little pissy. I then noticed the floral scent which finally gave way to woody/leathery scent with a herby or mossy slant. Did not notice coconut at all. There is a definite undertone of body scent. I hesitate to use "BO" because of the negative connotations. It's not underarm stink or crotch funk. It's more like clean sweat - before bacteria make it funky OR maybe better described as a musky man smell.
A great masculine fragrance - going on 60 years old and a masterpiece that's still very relevant today. Available very cheaply - only a fraction of what it would have sold for 60 years ago (inflation adjusted).
