So far, I’d only tried Royal Barn from the Musk Collection. I really like the dark, retro floral vibe of FF-you hardly find that in modern fragrances anymore...
It wasn’t really all that great when it first came out, but it seems to have improved a lot. Unfortunately, that’s often the case with this brand-always a shame...
Many thanks to our dear SonarID for this exceptional creation.
The scent portrays the flower as a seductress-a femme fatale to be desired and feared. It opens with citrus and a green, slightly cannabis-like note that I really love. Then a creamy, faintly animalic jasmine unfolds, with a touch of wood. In the drydown, I detect ginger and vetiver, along with a little cedar. Not sweet or well-behaved, but distinctive, with the flair of vintage creations from the ’60s and ’70s. The longevity and sillage are outstanding.
Lovely words.
