The initial smell you get is Dry and dark coffee mixed with oud thats animalic with added civet. In my opinion not too animalic but i like hyper animalics and i have not ever come across too animalic scent for me. The dry down is still noticable coffee but the animalic has changed to more smokey oud that is dry.
Overall in my opinion very great scent and would not hate to own bottle of this. If you want real heavy coffee scent this is for sure your cup of coffee.
