"We are asleep until we fall in Love!"
-War and Peace, Lev Tolstoy-.
That's right, we are asleep until that spark ignites the flame: and that's exactly what happened upon meeting this fragrance.
Love at first sniff.
Just by looking at the composition and hearing Russian Adam explain it, well, how can you not love it?
The fragrance opens with a markedly
dark, resinous, warm and slightly smoky amber (Himalayan fossilized 35 million years old).
It then moves on to the protagonist heart with aged Indian patchouli where its chocolaty, dense, dark scents become powdery thanks to iris absolute and see glimmers of light thanks to Ruh Gulab (Damask and Indian rose essence).
The base characterized by the triptych (co-absolute) of deer musk, ambergris and castoreum contributes to the tremendously dense, dark, somber and destabilizing for the faint of heart.
War and Peace II is a journey into the darkness of Mordor among Trolls and Uruk Hai, Nazgul and Oliphants: where the sun does not shine and where everything is corrupted by Evil.
There is a little hope, however, a little Hobbit from the Shire is about to embark on a new adventure.
