Now that I've been on this fragrance journey for a few months, I decided to get back to the first fragrances I bought at the beginning and review them with my newly aquired knowledge. This is one of them. Cloud was a blind-buy that I got for cheap at TJMaax.
It's a lovely young and sweet fragrance. I didn't detect a lot of the top notes. I do immediately smell the creaminess coming from the whipped cream, the sweetness coming from the praline, the small lactonic aspect coming from the coconut that sits in the background and the slight vanilla waft coming out from the vanilla orchid. It has a sweetness in it that makes you want to feel cozy, but also feminine and put-together. I loved the fact that the middle notes stay quite a long time on my skin. After a while, the drydown turns this fragrance in a generic kind of perfume with the musk and woody notes, but it's not that bad. Every good thing does come to an end after all.
I'm not sure people of all ages could pull it of since it's quite sweet, but I enjoyed wearing it on cold days and sleeping in it. It's sweet, but in a certain comforting kind of way. Unfortunately, I'll be phasing it out from my collection because I have tested perfumes that are better to my nose than this one, but it'll be remembered fondly for having been there at the start of my journey!
