My second fragrance from the line and the second hit
This is my second fragrance alongside the Club de Nuit Private Key to My Success from the line, and I was really curious to see how it would perform. The bottle is simple yet finished with a magnetic closure and feels good in the hand. I personally would still prefer to do without the small stone in the key on the bottle. But let's get to the most important part, the scent. Right after spraying, you notice a peppery sharpness with minimal sweetness, likely coming from the pepper and pineapple leaf. This immediately reminds me of the "Club de Nuit Private Key to My Success | Armaf," although the apple and lavender notes come through quite quickly. The leather is also subtly present in the background. In the drydown, the spicy woody note remains in the foreground, with a hint of vanilla detectable. I would estimate the longevity at 6-7 hours, with the spicy vanilla note still noticeable on clothing even after one to two days. I find it difficult to compare it to Layton, as the "sour" apple and vanilla stand out much more prominently there for me. Otherwise, I can only agree with my predecessor; this is a really great but unobtrusive fragrance. It accompanies you throughout the day but is less likely to be noticed by others. Even after the second fragrance from the line, I maintain that Armaf has really delivered wonderfully here. For me, a clear recommendation, and I will certainly consider completing the line.
