Perfect, Noble Everyday Allrounder
I discovered this fragrance last week in a niche perfumery on my way to a doctor's appointment.
Next to some new Boucherons stood the Art Meets Art series. I had heard the title 'Like a Virgin' on parfumo before, so I asked for the third test strip.
First impression: mhmm extraordinary! So ready for the skin test.
Out of the perfumery, I pulled down my mask and kept sniffing my wrist. This is niche for me. It smells noble, sophisticated, effortless.
To me, Like a Virgin (well, whether the title fits the fragrance, I would rather deny) smells milky, slightly spicy, gentle, and reserved. It is a warm, bright scent that has a somewhat woody and very creamy aroma. Although I usually prefer stronger fragrances, the restraint in this scent makes sense. It feels a bit like a body lotion in a luxurious form.
I realize I'm searching for the right words for this wonderful fragrance. It has captivated me! Time and again, this exceptionally attractive scent trail wafts into my nose. Mmm heavenly!
In the doctor's waiting room, I opened parfumo, and the disillusionment followed. A 6???! Really?!
I'm sad. The statements are devastating. Boring... I don't find it at all. Drugstore scent... now come on! Absolutely not!!
A bit unsettled by the reviews, I pedaled back to the perfumery yesterday and asked the lady to let me experience the scent once more.
Once outside again, I'm blissful, sniffing my wrist repeatedly as I walked back to my parking spot. Even on the second sniff, I like it incredibly well.
No, I have to have it. For me, this is the perfect everyday scent. If any of my other favorites annoy me - and that does happen - LaV will come into play. Everything is perfectly balanced here. Maybe the title fits after all. Although no, the scent is too mature for that.
The sillage is rather subtle but still noticeable! Like a fine veil, where bystanders might not even be sure if it’s a perfume or if the wearer themselves smells so sensual. Subtly sexy.
By the way, the scent is unisex for me. I would love to smell it on a man as well.
The longevity isn't that great. I can smell the fragrance for about three hours. But somehow, I believe it is still perceived by others afterward. I just can’t catch a whiff of it anymore myself.
I'm getting it today. I'm excited. It will sweeten my day, and hopefully many more to come.

aber heute!! habe ich ihn wieder auf der Haut.... Gefällt mir ziemlich gut gerade, locker, leicht und auch subtil sexy, genau wie du sagst :)
Nur für den Duft tut es mir leid. Dass er nicht mehr gewürdigt wird.
