This opens with a subtly sweet pear and a heavy dose of creamy, lipstick like iris. I surprisingly get no spices in here, as the scent is airy, sweet, and creamy. The wheat is prominent, with a powdery starchiness and slightly sweet airiness. The rice is prominent too, smelling like a powdery uncooked basmati rice. The hazelnuts come through strongly in the heart, with a slight Nutella-esque smell, they’re nutty, rich, and sweet. This scent has an effortless to it, and gourmand aspects but never ventures completely into gourmand territory. The dry down is much muskier, with remnants of the starchiness from the wheat and rice, and a creamy blend of the iris and hazelnuts. It’s an odd blend of notes that works beautifully together, with a complexity to it despite typically lighter accords.
