Excellent for what it is...
Auric Blends is a brand that consistently delivers perfume oils that are excellent for what they are: uber-affordable, well-blended, pleasant scents that have great staying power. They likely will be overlooked by the average frag head, but I see them as solid, foundational scents to round out a collection.
Desert Night is a perfect example. The bottle is nothing special - a glass rollerball with a simple design printed on it. As this is perfume oil, it has good sillage and great longevity. The scent itself isn't wildly inventive or polarizing, but not everyone wants a challenging scent every day. Desert Nights is extremely well-balanced: the floral top notes are lovely without being cloying, and they cede first to a sandalwood and then a musky amber that are beautiful without being heavy. Because it's so balanced, it serves as a great all-season scent - it's not too heavy that it can't be worn in the summer, and it's not so bright that it doesn't serve as a winter scent. It's restrained enough for a day scent, but it's just a little sexy with the musky base notes that it can serve nicely for a night out.
It's also great value for money. I bought my bottle for $10, which is a ridiculous steal for something so wearable in pretty much any setting.
