It's getting cheesy.

Well, this fragrance has been in my collection for quite a long time now.
Probably more out of laziness than because I actually used it.

When I first got it, or rather acquired it, I did use it a few times. However, it became less frequent until I stopped using it altogether.
I recently asked myself, why is that?
Sure, the scent doesn't appeal to me as much anymore, but still - why?

There is something in the fragrance that kept pushing itself more and more to the forefront with each new use.
From an initially slight irritation that I could still ignore, to the point where this component bothered me so much that I just left the Signature behind.
And there it sat, just gathering dust.
Every attempt, even after longer intervals, to give the EdT another chance brought the same result. No - it just doesn't work anymore.
Why does this one scent component, which is present both in the top and heart of the Signature, bother me so much?

Well, recently I actually got the answer to that.
When the sun shines beautifully through the windows of my winter garden, some tenants come back to life. Just like one or two shield bugs that like to hibernate there.
It can happen that you accidentally step on one. I think everyone knows how that smells.

Yep. You guessed it, it smells like Signature by Avon. It's probably the aforementioned apple note. Well, to me, an apple smells different.
To me, the bug's scent is so overpowering that I can no longer separate (bug - Signature). So that was the reason for the demise of this perfume for me.
For others, this association may not occur or hopefully won't at all.

Avon - no thanks! I'd rather save up a few more euros and buy something that can actually be called perfume.
