Well-Groomed Freshness Meets Cool Elegance

I liked this fragrance right away.

I got to know it at the last Parfumo meeting, and thanks to a lovely perfumer, I was able to keep the sample.
After several tests on my skin, I finally want to dedicate a review to it.

Le Dix (2025) is, for me, a very noble, high-quality iris scent. Powdery, dry, and with a slightly floral, green-tinged aura that immediately feels well-groomed upon spraying. Overall, it is a rather understated fragrance but with clear presence.
The iris is definitely in the spotlight with iris aldehyde, cool, soapy, and elegant, supported by iris absolute, which gives the fragrance floral, sweet depth. The violet leaf absolute adds a green, slightly bitter note that keeps the scent dry and prevents it from becoming too sweet.
The incense is very finely dosed, not smoky, and definitely stays in the background.

The scent profile clearly moves in the powdery, floral area for me, with a subtle sweetness and a green, dry freshness that makes everything feel very balanced.

I can understand the comparison to Comète by Chanel to some extent, but not entirely. What both have in common is the noble, powdery presence, this feeling of elegance without much effort. However, Le Dix (2025) feels a bit drier and less shimmering, as it lacks the cherry blossom.

I see the fragrance clearly for everyday use with a touch of sophistication, in a business environment, for an appointment, but just as well while shopping in the city. It adapts and always conveys this well-groomed freshness and cool elegance.

Anyone who appreciates the typical elegant iris fragrances should definitely check out this scent.

Very beautifully described, a very elegant scent that can be worn on any occasion.

I'm afraid the current version of Le Dix doesn't have much in common with the dream scent of my youth, created in 1947. Still, I'm curious.

I'm afraid so, just like with many fragrances from earlier times. However, I don't know the original in this case. My friend loved Cristobal in the 90s, and that's back too, but it's said to have no resemblance to the original.
