Floral

Banana Republic Alabaster was a (online) blind purchase. I was totally taken by the name, the bottle, and the fragrance notes. Lotus, I had already discovered, is part of some perfumes that I really like.
The first spray then surprised me a bit. I was expecting something very light and delicate. However, the scent comes across quite strong right away. It is definitely a bright floral fragrance, not sweet, not bitter, something in between, with greenish undertones. And even though there is no fruit in it, it feels floral-fruity to me. It is somehow dense and compact, yet still radiant.
Wild rose smells quite different from regular rose. You can really tell here. Anyone who has stood by a rosehip bush knows what I mean.
The musk is not sweet and powdery, but pure and clear.
After a while, the scent develops a bitter sweetness that I really like.
Not a "big" perfume, but a lovely feminine floral scent.

I really like the scent too. I find it wonderfully uncomplicated.

You described this fragrance very well in a nutshell. Your last sentence hits the mark! ;O)

To me, it's actually quite subtle and barely noticeable. Still very nice.
