Bonjour Paris Bath & Body Works 2017

Death by honeysuckle + honeydew melon
This opens with amber, marshmallow, sugar, and just a hint of orange blossom + honeysuckle. It initially felt like a beautiful, sugary-musky-amber profile. But soon, the honeysuckle began to take over - becoming sickeningly-sweet with the sugar note.
I love honeysuckle in real life - it's such a gorgeous nectar-like flower. But in Bath & Body Works fragrances (such as Wild Honeysuckle Eau de Toilette , Love & Sunshine , Tutti Dolci - Pink Peony Crème ), I personally find that their honeysuckle notes are too synthetic. There's something about the way they often do honeysuckle that unfortunately becomes a bit overpowering and nauseating for me.
The honeysuckle notes from Bath & Body Works sometimes have an almost "melon"-like quality to them - like synthetic honeysuckle mixed with a green honeydew melon. Melon notes are a no-go for me (I can thank my over-usage of Cucumber Melon Fragrance Mist in the late 90s/early 2000s for this). So it became too much for my own nose - but if you love honeydew melons + honeysuckle, then you might love this!
Dry-down does lose a lot of the honeysuckle, and softens into a "generic sugar" profile similar to Pink Sugar Eau de Toilette. If you end up enjoying it, the projection is above average here - with exceptional longevity too. This could go head-to-head with more expensive blends, purely on performance alone. It permeates through clothing and was difficult to scrub off for me, so it lasts!

I feel like I'll always be learning the nuances among note variations, so you're not alone!
Not sure if you've played with the "Advanced Search" part of the site, but I found these when filtering by the "Honeysuckle" note category and sorting by "Most popular" - maybe you've sampled some of these before, to see what you think about other honeysuckle notes?
