One of BBW's best - a creamy frangipani smoothie
This used to be one of my favorites from BBW. I purchased a 20 year old bottle just to see if there was any semblance of what I remembered. (Updated review at the end, to include newest edition.)
This is the epitome of smelling "fresh out of the shower", but with a tropical twist. The bulk of it is frangipani: "creamy", "candy-like" and slightly "yellow" - almost as if mixed with tiare flower, in addition to the jasmine and gardenia. It gives a very delicious, "nectar-like" floral. The peach is refreshing and distinctively "liquid" or juice-like in nature. The base is watery and ozonic.
Something about Plumeria makes me think of standing on a beach after sunset, with the light still on the horizon in the evening twilight. The waves are soothing and calm. A cool breeze runs through freshly-washed hair. Everything is blended so well, that nothing stands out. A creamy-but-fruity "frangipani smoothie" doesn't exist in real life - but it feels like I'm drinking one, when I wear this!
It's not your run-of-the-mill "shampoo" scent - I have yet to run across another fragrance that smells like this, and it will always be one of my most favorites.
(Note: the latest re-release, for 2023 June "SAS", is very close to the original and projects well/has great longevity! It's missing more of the "aquatic" feel, and doesn't last as long as the OG Plumeria formula. But it's an impressive recreation of the OG!)
