I Really Like This -- A Throwback to Gorgeous, Classic Fragrances

Touch of Gold is a plush Oriental that reminds me of classic perfumes by the likes of Robert Piguet and Estée Lauder. The notes are very well blended, and scent is deep and rich and delicious without crossing over the line into gourmand territory.

I suppose I can see why teens and twenty-somethings are not enamoured of this fragrance. It is mature, sophisticated, and yes, even sexy. I cannot imagine any sophisticated man would not want to snuggle up with his lady whilst she was wearing this. This is one of the few B&BW fragrances I have been able to love in the last ten years.

Personally, I think it leans feminine, but I have not had the opportunity to smell it on a chap. I suppose a man could wear this pretty easily if he wanted to do. I have only the body spray, but the next time the body creme goes on sale, I might have to pick up a tube. Probably will buy a back up of this as well. I am rating this as a B&BW body spray not in comparison to high end perfumes like Guerlain, Chanel, and Amouage. Still, I think it is sophisticated and classy enough to compete with many of the perfumes offered by those houses.
