"Pure Sense" came into my collection through a swap game. I had never heard of Beate Johnen until now. I am always amazed at what unknown, beautiful fragrances there are.
This one is a particularly beautiful scent, one of the nicest, purest, and at the same time softest in my collection. It starts off herb-fresh, green, and a bit bitter. Like tea that has steeped too long. This top note is a bit of an acquired taste; it initially irritated me quite a bit. The tea (bitter) and the foliage (green) are, in my opinion, quite recognizable, but I don't perceive any fruity notes. The top note, which I now really like, settles relatively quickly and the fragrance becomes much softer. The scent turns very clean-floral, very fresh, but also very creamy. It leans towards a good body lotion, distinctly skin-like. Over time, it becomes slightly powdery-woody, the cedar makes its presence known. Nevertheless, it remains a caring scent. I can't detect amber & musk; it is also not a typical White Musk fragrance. Apparently, these two components get lost on my skin. But that doesn't bother me further.
The fragrance is wonderful and definitely something special in the clean bear category. I can warmly recommend a test to all clean bears.
Edit: Unfortunately, this beautiful scent has since been discontinued, and I missed the chance to order a backup bottle. Even online, not even on eBay, can you find it. Why are the most beautiful fragrances always discontinued?
P.S.: By chance, I blindly ordered a near-scent twin - Effusion by Iceberg! *happy*....
