Not really my thing... but nice top note
I received a sample from B.United as a gift from a nice perfumer.
At the first spray, I quite like it. It smells fresh and zesty. Since I don’t drink alcohol, I had to Google what a Caipirinha actually is. Ah, a cocktail with lime juice. Yes, it could indeed smell somewhat similar to the top note of B.United.
Unfortunately, it doesn't stay pleasant. After about 20 minutes, I smell a typical drugstore floral mishmash. The only notes I can distinctly pick out are peony and especially raspberry. It has hardly any sillage, but is still quite penetrating because it is way too sweet. It’s always the same with raspberry in cheap fragrances. I really complain about this every time.
This raspberry unfortunately remains present until the end. Over time, it becomes a bit powdery. But with the stinky raspberry and something sour in the background (or is that due to the age of the fragrance?), the scent really gets on my nerves.
As mentioned, the sillage is not outstanding, but the fragrance lasts quite a while. Reapplying probably won’t be necessary. I find it difficult to categorize this. If someone likes the fragrance, they can wear B.United all year round, whenever they want. But it is definitely more suitable for women.
