I tested Infinite Intense for the first time today (only on skin). Right from the start, it reminded me of the Vintage Collection Vetiver by Lorenzo Villoresi. However, the Bentley is quieter, not as dominant and unruly. I don't want to call it a fragrance twin just yet, but the similarities are clearly noticeable to me.
The scent progression:
The opening is somewhat sour-peppery. Not citrusy, but rather floral underneath. It feels quite dry and somehow rough-metallic (satin-like) from the beginning. There is no trace of sweetness, nothing typically woody, nothing soft, round, or cozy. However, everything feels very clean, straightforward, almost stringent. The extremely high-quality vetiver note gives the scent profile a slightly grayed and earthier quality. The scent impression lasts for several hours. Later, it becomes a touch softer, without changing the fundamental character. Admittedly, the fragrance feels somewhat aloof and slightly cool. But you can surprisingly get used to that quite quickly. Infinite Intense has an extraordinarily linear, comprehensible, and cohesive scent progression. After 5 - 6 hours, I perceived it as a second skin. The personal scent and the perfume had completely merged.
It should also be noted that this perfume exhibited a peculiarity that I have not experienced before.
Infinite Intense influences one's own sense of smell after a few hours to the extent that other fragrances are perceived very distorted. Halfeti, Reflection Man, Caron p.H., after that everything smells like gum-sticky drugstore-shelf-bottom-quality. Really terrible. When you smell again at the spot where you sprayed the tester hours earlier..... well, I was hooked. It just smelled "Wow".
Admittedly, a very unique and "unfashionable" scent. But for those who have the courage to step off the beaten path fragrance-wise, this Bentley offers a very interesting and absolutely summer-appropriate alternative.
Further thoughts:
Going-out fragrance, summer evening, light breeze, well-groomed clothing and manners, dinner on the restaurant terrace, first day of vacation, a couple of hours of relaxed, pleasant company.
Not an office scent, never...........! For the 40+ generation.
I fully accept that not everyone will like it. But I am convinced that it will make some few very happy.
But I have to disagree: It's also suitable as an office scent and not just for 40+, but for 30+. Trophy for your comment!
