Normally, fragrances are discussed very controversially on various levels. It makes sense when you consider that a scent is supposed to reflect one's personality.
Bentley for Men Intense seemed to be a total exception. I have hardly encountered a fragrance that is perceived so positively according to YouTube and other sources. The scent composition, the enormous longevity, and the eccentric sillage have been confirmed by every source. Even the price of 20 to 30 euros for 100ml offers no point of criticism.
As a logical conclusion, I had to get the fragrance. Anticipation and expectation naturally soared to immeasurable heights, and as soon as the package arrived, it was already open.
I have applied the fragrance more than once on paper, wrist, or neck. I just can't manage it.
As much as I wish to like the scent, there will be no love affair between us. The strong smell of alcohol (allegedly rum) dissipates only after about an hour. The remaining notes are sometimes too quiet and sometimes too loud. I only perceive cinnamon and vanilla to a limited extent. Leather, on the other hand, remains dominant during the heart and base notes.
Admittedly, longevity and sillage are truly monstrous, but unfortunately, that doesn't help me much.
It's not that I want to portray this fragrance as bad. Quite the opposite! From a craftsmanship perspective, this is certainly a successful scent. Unfortunately, Bentley for Men Intense does not fit my personality at all.
So who can wear this fragrance?
In my opinion, a man of middle or advanced age. Someone looking for a perfume for evening events and/or the cold season. Perhaps also someone who wants to appear a bit wealthier than he actually is.
To anyone who identifies with this description, I wish you much enjoyment with the perfume. Unfortunately, I had none.
I'm surprised at how this one has been so hyped. I bought it blindly and it was a big disappointment in terms of the scent, in the opening especially I found quite unappealing albeit arguably rather creative (interesting as a perfume creation but not something I would want to smell like) it came across as curry soaked in rum, wrapped in leather). The dry-down to me was quite unremarkable but more appealing. It's not a dud but surely an acquired taste! (I sold mine!).
Jeder empfindet Düfte anders. Je nach dem wie man sie mit persönlichen Erinnerungen und Erfahrungen verknüpft. Ich persönlich mag den Bentley sehr. Meine Frau kriegt das Würgen von ihm. Auch ganz lustig :-)
Auch ich empfinde gerade die erste Stunde als Härtetest, danach wird er schöner. Aber ich gebe dir insofern Recht, dass ich den Duft auch an einem älteren Mann sehe, dort kann er bei passendem Charakter aber sehr stivoll sein. Mich hat der Duft irgendwie immer an einen Piraten erinnert... vielleicht wegen dem Rum? Es war mein Fehler, ihn zu Beginn meiner Duftreise zu testen, inzwischen schätze ich ihn etwas mehr. Beste Freunde werden wir aber wohl nicht mehr. Von daher: schöner Kommi!
Immer wieder spannend, komplett differente Meinungen zu lesen und aufzunehmen. Ich finde deinen Kommentar trotzdem sehr respektvoll und tolerant verfasst, das gefällt mir. Das "Handwerkliche" wie Du es nennst, fande ich sehr passend.
Zur Antwort von Fresh21, muss ich mich verteidigend vor diese "Plörre" stellen! Gefallen muss es nicht Jedem, aber Plörre ist es keine m.E. :)
Schlechtes Gewissen ist nicht nötig, die Geschmäcker sind verschieden - zum Glück! Im mache eh einen großen Bogen um Düfte, die Rum, Gin, Whiskey oder dergleichen enthalten; ich will nicht riechen, als hätte ich beim Schnaps trinken gezittert... Sehr schöner erster Kommentar!
Haha, endlich mal jemand, der ihn genauso empfindet wie ich:) Meine Note ist i.Ü. 3,5 und dein Kommi harmlos gegen meine persönliche (nie veröffentlichte) Notiz. Lies mal meinen Kommentar zu dieser Plörre, weiße Bescheid;))) Ein schlechtes Gewissen brauchen wir deswegen keinesfalls zu haben. Zustimm-und-Leidensgenossen-Pokal!
