Violette Berdoues 2017

... modest, humble, and pure - not like the proud rose - which always wants to be admired.

This saying was often found in poetry albums - and despite its simplicity, I always liked it, as I also perceive modesty as an adornment.

And so I was magically drawn to the beautiful purple bottle with the pump ball.

Violet is indeed a mystical, mysterious color - just think of the beautiful eyes of Liz Taylor.

And the scent also has something magical.
Deep violets bloom touching before me - and sentiment wafts towards me.
I think of old, ornate fairy tale books, in which the prince presents a bouquet of violets to his beloved.
Affectionate and chivalrous at the same time.

Tenderly dusted, the love gift is adorned with iris - and a hint of longing adds the subtle patch.

Modest and humble, indeed - yet full of meaning.

This is how I would like to be courted as well.
And Violette succeeds - in a charmingly honest, heartfelt way.

For the irredeemable romantics among us - a must.
