Can’t Be Matched

I’m going to be annoyed forever that Bésame keeps quietly discontinuing their perfume line without any clear reason, because nothing comes close to this scent. I saw someone describe it as cola, which I don’t completely disagree but because of the cognac I’d argue it borders on a Jack and Coke. Even so, there’s something indescribable to this perfume that I am worried I will be unsuccessfully searching for a replacement unless they ever bring it back.

Vintage Inspired Beauty

First off, this fragrance line has been discontinued twice now (it's currently on its second discontinuation). I find this to be a tad frustrating seeing I have yet to find anything that comes close to 1940, which I would describe as a modern take on vintage fragrances. 1940 is such a classy smell, while also remaining "youthful ". Ambery, spicy, boozy, sweet. The perfect descriptor came from another user, IrinaSpalko: "... little sister of "Youth Dew"." They nailed this fragrance, because I can imagine the "Rosie" type when i smell this; red lipstick and victory curls, and a spritz of this perfume to finish the outfit.

I hope Besame brings this line back so I can stock up enough for the next 50 years.
