Recently, I acquired Heat Wild Orchid. Once again out of pure curiosity. I've had enough time to test it now.
Mmh, what should I say, where do I start?
It must be said that Beyonce and I haven't always had an easy relationship. For example, I think "Heat Rush" is quite good. And "Heat The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" would have really excited me if it weren't for the poor longevity. And I couldn't relate to "Rise" at all.
And now I have "Heat Wild Orchid" in front of me. I find the bottle very beautiful. Much prettier than depicted above.
As for the scent, to be honest, I expected something different. I don't know how you feel, but I was expecting a floral fragrance.
Upon the first spray, I am enveloped in a strong cloud of cotton candy. However, this subsides a bit after a few seconds. It becomes fruity sweet, and I can clearly perceive the pomegranate with the coconut nectar. The floral notes like orchid and magnolia, however, remain very subtle in the background. After about an hour, the scent just smells sweet. Pleasant, but I can no longer detect any specific fragrance notes.
And now the question. Do I like it or do I not like it?
I did expect something different, but I'm not really disappointed either. It is and remains quite sweet, but always in a pleasant way. What disappoints me, though, is once again the poor longevity. After three hours, that’s it.
But I will not lose faith. One day, Beyonce will completely impress me with a fragrance.
