It broke my heart to see that a perfume, which does not come to market at bargain prices, is listed here with a 40% rating and, so to speak, naked, that is, completely without commentary. Now I have, curious as I am, a sample in front of me. Upon first opening the bottle, I was struck with shock - sweet - not for me! (?)
Based on the top notes, I expected something different than what greeted me - much more herbal, much less sweet. The bergamot is in an extreme hurry. Within seconds, it is off and away, leaving the field to sweet flowers and fruits. Not a trace of green leaves: tropical greenhouse atmosphere, dense, humid, and really well done, although not for me. My nose is completely overwhelmed by this work of art; I could never have said which fragrance notes are hidden here, the flowers dance in circles. The overwhelming sweetness is not sticky; rather, it strikes me as the narcotic sweetness that emanates from white flowers, with a small addition of fruit that tempers this sweetness just enough to spare me from an anaphylactic shock. As time goes on, the sweetness recedes more and more and softly fades into the base. Only the base appeals to me personally. I don’t like to wear it, as it does not fit my preferences at all (I do NOT like sweet scents AT ALL). Doesn’t HB01 remind me of some other fragrance? Is there not a hint of Fidji in the air? Fidji was definitely not as sweet, but the flowers remind me just a little of my old Fidji and send me on a journey...
…when I close my eyes, I am in the South Seas - floral magic from morning to evening, bright blue sky with fluffy, towering clouds, palm trees whose crowns sway like hairdos in the wind, grass skirts and Hawaiian sounds to accompany me, a cocktail in hand, I lie on the beach and listen to the waves...
For those seeking a quick getaway far from home, who are not afraid of a sweet floral abundance, HB01 is highly recommended - a perfume for "classy women" ;-). This scent is completely underrated at 40%!
@Punx - I'm really surprised, it smells completely natural to me, like a blend of flowers. But I get it, there are scents that smell like poison to me that others love too :-)
