Rather tame than bravo.

I must confess that this work by Mark Buxton for the Biehl brand surprised me quite a bit, unfortunately not in a really positive way.

However, it's not that I think the perfume is bad; I simply had a completely different expectation for a fragrance from this brand.

mb 01 is a rather light, bright floral perfume without any edges or corners and, in my opinion, anything but a niche fragrance.

The opening is, like many women's perfumes from the last 10 years, zesty-fruity and moderately fresh. Such a fragrance opening is nice, but nothing more.

The top note dissipates as quickly as it was sprayed on, leaving behind a bright, summery floral accord with no recognizability. I find it really unfortunate that the champaca note doesn't come through at all, and both jasmine and tuberose have been toned down to the level of a convent schoolgirl. As a result, the fragrance remains as pleasant as it started.

The base is hardly worth mentioning. A hint of sweetness, with a touch of wood and a lot of clean musk concludes the rather short lifespan of the fragrance.

Just as tame as the entire fragrance concept, the intensity behaves similarly. This is, fittingly for the little scent, very subdued, almost shy, and certainly everything but what I would expect from a niche fragrance.

The fragrance itself is not poorly made, but you can also find scents of this kind from Escada and Co., and even with a bit more sophistication, in my opinion.

By the way, I think this perfume would have suited a romantically sounding name much better, at least better than this misleading type designation, like drill.

I just tested this O-Probe. It's really terrible. What is that supposed to be? And just like most Biehl fragrances, it gives me heartburn too. It's a scent made without care. Just thrown together. Yuck!

All the more disappointing when the company calls itself a perfume art studio.

You expressed how I feel about these scents moderately; I haven't tested this one: synthetic and the "with extra." It seems like this is a trendy segment. Plastic cup+

How disappointing. What does Champaca smell like? Comfort prize for you.

"Drill" - haha! But seriously, I would have expected something different from a Buxton than what your test showed. Maybe the scent didn't like today's rainy weather in Hamburg and needs some summer warmth?

Lately, I've been experiencing either average products or unharmonious obscure compositions from niche brands more and more often.
