A Romantic Night of Love
As the sun sinks on the horizon, the day comes to an end and the night begins.... There is hardly a more romantic image than a sunset.
This noble perfume treasure intensely reminds me of my vacations in the City of Angels - in the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, and brings the sunset romance back to life time and again. No other city shines in such a rich golden light, is so multifaceted, and has such impressive energies as LA.
The scent symbolizes for me the colorful light spectacle. A rich evening glow perfectly captured. "Sunset Romance" starts off fruity sweet. Here, you immediately catch a whiff of the sweet-sour pear, which might be heated on a stick over the campfire. It becomes warm and cozy, as dark wood notes quickly join in, giving the initial sweetness a naughty touch. The innocent lily of the valley, which has a sweet scent and was regarded as a symbol of spring and hope for love and happiness, mixes in and adds a carefree/playful quality to the whole scenario. The delicate salty sea breeze from the Pacific is in the air, and musk and amber accords create a romantic-intimate atmosphere. The warmth of the evening sun and the campfire is still distinctly felt. Once the scent settles, it becomes softer and closer to the skin; nevertheless, I perceive it as a sensual and animalistic lure due to the dark smoky patchouli note. Exceptionally well done and also very attractive on men!
