For wearers of woody but not too strong fragrances, this Sir Santal will be a successful blend. It opens with a velvety accord of cardamom, pepper, and leather. It is perceived subtly but noticeably. It is not a direct hit, yet still seductive.
In the drydown, it comes through nicely woody and powdery and is never unpleasant. Very pleasing. Additionally, a beautiful elegant bottle with a great cap and presentation.
Longevity and sillage could be a bit better. Otherwise, nicely rounded.
