Not a 1:1 copy, but still quite good

When I recently won a piece of furniture on eBay, I happened to see that the seller also had a few cheaper perfumes listed. I thought to myself that you can't go wrong for a few euros, so I just bid on everything ;)
"Deadly Passion" is a pretty obvious dupe of "Poison." Since I also own Poison (the third bottle by now ^^), I immediately did a side-by-side comparison:

In the top notes, you immediately notice a difference - where Poison is sweet-floral, DP starts off with a note of burning alcohol. However, after less than a minute, this unpleasant note fades away, and they align about 90%. Poison has a bit more clove and jasmine, while DP has a bit more rose.
Over time, the difference becomes hardly noticeable, and in the base notes, it only becomes apparent that Poison smells slightly more vanilla-like.
The longevity is very good for both; I can still smell them on my wrist the next day, and on my scarf, both last for several days.
DP is not as strongly concentrated as Poison, which makes it easier to dose - and with a 100ml bottle, that doesn't matter ;)
However, the bottle has nothing in common with the purple apple; it is a grotesque monstrosity and looks like a rolled-up earthworm... the cap also doesn't quite fit the bottle in size, making nasty cracking noises when opening and closing, and it has already developed a few cracks in the plastic.
Overall, I would say: as a dupe, it is good (80%) but not perfect; however, the longevity can definitely compete with the original, and somehow I really like this slightly stronger rose note as well :)
The only negative points for me are the bottle and the burning alcohol note in the first few seconds.
