Etepetete, or what remains from the mummification!
What should a perfume smell like that bears the name of a beauty icon?
Right, it should do justice to this beauty and reflect it!
Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and in this case of the fragrance oil, probably in the respective olfactory cells of the test subject.
I think a bit more effort should have been made here to at least somewhat honor the namesake. For my taste, the theme has been missed here.
Nefertiti smells woody-balsamic and unspectacularly sweet, no more and no less. To me, this fragrance oil feels like an unmotivated base of a mediocre oriental perfume. Refinement, or something elegantly radiant that would do justice to the good Nofretete, is completely lacking in this scent.
I slowly wonder if they wanted to olfactorily implement the act of mummification here? The dead body was treated back then before being wrapped in gauze with all sorts of fragrant resins and oils. I am drifting too much into speculation....
The longevity is quite decent and the intensity thankfully holds back here. A significant sillage would also be out of place with this scent.
The more fitting name for the fragrance oil would probably be that of Nofretete's unknown cousin, Etepetete! :)
