Dear Hasi...only thanks to your great sample promotion am I writing this comment. Sometimes perfumes can also be a punishment!
Boadicea...3 tests...3x "full" score...Intense terrible, Divine extremely terrible, Explorer...well, I guess that's what you call a test of courage...insane. Duro is a pure nose pleaser and cuddler in comparison...Serge Noire becomes pure rose water next to this. The brand has a Celtic/Gaelic/mystical touch with its bottles...therefore I suspect that the brew comes from some castle witches on Walpurgis Night out of the cauldron...where, as we know, all sorts of things go in...at least everything that stinks. So, I immediately felt a knot in my stomach, sour, sharp, caustic, biting, overly spicy...I believe soap won't be enough to wash this off...Biff bleach cleaner is needed...I'd rather have 2 hours of swimming pool smell and unhealthy looking white fingers...than this stink bomb! So Explorer is by far my new number 1...for the golden raspberry...give Serge Lutens...Pattex, ammonia, manure, and a can of 4-week-old fish (open)...and he would make something that smells better out of it.
In a brief and crazy moment, it reminded me for a ridiculous 3 seconds of Tauer's L'Air du Dessert Marocain...just a quick reminder...that's a GREAT scent...but I think the wish was the father of the thought. No, no, there's nothing to save...pour it out and be silent...forever.
And if I'm looking for/need something Gaelic or Celtic...then I'll take something from a brand that really knows its brew well...Jameson...because there are professionals at work. Cheers.
It takes half an hour on me before it really comes to life. The transition from "unbearable" to "very beautiful" is quite shocking; I didn't expect that at all.
Why give a total flop a 5.0?? We really need to use the full scale here; otherwise, all fragrances end up at 7-8 and the significance of the ratings goes down to zero.
...By the way, I actually find the scent quite good.
Dude.. this one is out of this world.. the alternative to Sables Marocain for men :) Citrusy, then herbal, powdery-resinous, and slightly bitter.. it has that 70s/80s old-school vibe with top-notch ingredients. Separates the men from the boys ;)
...By the way, I actually find the scent quite good.
I just put it on and now I have to rush to the bathroom to scrub it off!
