“Going out to eat today, I’m wearing my Orchid Leather. Splash! Tandoori drips” - Not quite a haiku,
although the mention of a winter perfume is indeed a K i g o, however - due to the possessive pronoun, the syllable count doesn’t add up.
OK… Moving on:
“Where has the incense note gone today? Instead, I suddenly remember something. An exquisite dish - from my vanished childhood…”
No idea, maybe my first currywurst. I ordered the sample because I found this cinnamon-cardamom-clove combo mega in our favorite restaurant, where they drink tea or smell like tea, and since then I’ve been trying to find the perfect perfume with this combo...
It’s unnecessary to point out: The King missed the mark again. But, OK, finding everything you seek is anyway not good in life, and maybe there are aromas and combos of aromas that are better suited in the cup than in the bottle.
The distant resemblance to Orchid Leather might just be in my head, The King comes off more umami due to the currywurst twist. And somehow spicier - But, none of that bothers me. On the contrary: It’s a beautiful, long-lasting scent that I fell head over heels for on my fifth try. (I probably had to get over the disappointment that this scent also doesn’t smell like cinnamon/cardamom-clove tea.)
Very unique - with mega sillage, and indeed free of MSG.
Update: Fell in Love. My winter signature. V o l l good. Masculine, not sweet, the King, indeed. And unfortunately no longer available in stores :O !
