Boadicea the Victorious and I unfortunately seem to really not get along. I keep trying again and again with the brand, and I also try to convince myself that I am just too critical.
What should I say about Aurica now? Somehow I don't really know myself, because the scent is not bad, what does that mean again, some might think. I'll keep it short: it doesn't smell unpleasant or stink.
I have to agree with my predecessors. Aurica really smells like a mix of Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum and "Accento | XerJoff". Unfortunately, I don't like that at all. It all just feels uninspired and boring to me. After spraying, Accento is more dominant than BR 540. After 2-3 hours, Accento nearly disappears completely and leaves behind a BR540 with pineapple. At such a high price, I simply expect more. Aurica just fails to excite me. I can't and don't want to say much about the progression here, because it can really be described without many words: Accento + BR 540, later BR 540 + minimal Accento. After 6-7 hours, it's nearly pure BR540.
The longevity is unfortunately only average. After 7-8 hours, it's already over with Aurica. The sillage is also rather restrained, only 1-2 hours beyond an arm's length and after 5-6 hours, it's already very close to the skin.
Unfortunately, I am once again excessively disappointed by Boadicea. This simply does not smell like €980. The biggest problem for me is simply the lack of creativity. Here it is even worse than with Golden Aries.
Unfortunately, I had to rate a fragrance poorly once again because I simply cannot accept this, especially when brands like Clive Christian, Henry Jacques, or Roja can do it so much better.
Unfortunately, all the fragrances in this series cost €980. The quality is really what bothers me the most about this scent. At this price, there should definitely be more.
