Almost Bare Bobbi Brown 2008

I didn't expect a fragrance from a makeup artist to be any good and actually just sniffed it out of curiosity (and a bit because I wanted to make fun of it), but I was really pleasantly surprised.

My first impression was "clean" - and the second was "violet." Almost Bare is for me a freshly washed, light violet. Very pleasant and, in the best sense, not intrusive. In my opinion, there are also a few other light notes underneath, but I can't really assign any specifically. There is supposed to be lily of the valley in it, but I didn't pick that up, as it usually is a dealbreaker for me.

The overall impression is, as already mentioned, very clean, almost the scent of a white vest;-).

The name for the fragrance is really very fitting: almost "without"; yet it is still beautiful.

The longevity is only moderate, but since I really liked the clean violet - so much that I absolutely wanted it - I actually waited 4 (!) weeks for it because it was just "out."

Almost Bare is not a "hit" or "fragrance of the year," but when I'm in the mood for something nice, innocent, and clean, then it's just right for me.
