Beautiful and Unusual Summer Fragrance
The 004 by Bon Parfumeur is a well-executed release from the 00 (Cologne) range.
I purchased this fragrance because, according to online users, it is said to have a similar DNA to the Louis Vuitton Imagination.
After testing the perfume, I can conditionally confirm this comparison.
004 is also a beautiful, summery, fresh, and slightly "dry" scent.
However, there are differences between the two perfumes. The 004 opens with a juicy mandarin note, which dominates the fragrance at the beginning. Later in the dry down, clean white musk comes into play to round off the scent.
Additionally, the fragrance has a gin note, which is kept very subtle and is overshadowed by the other components already mentioned. Juniper berry lovers will therefore have to choose another fragrance (e.g. A.N. Other FR/18).
The longevity is not very strong at a maximum of 5 hours, but for a perfume that I would primarily associate with summer, it is sufficient.
Although many reviewers categorize the 004 as a masculine fragrance, I would rather describe it as unisex. The citrus and mandarin-dominated opening may lean towards the masculine side, but the clean white musk at the end feels more unisex with a tendency towards femininity.
