"Go in Peace - Thanks to the Perfumer"

When I think of peace, I inevitably associate it with something sweet. This is probably how the perfumer of this work felt as well. Either he associated peace with a sweet and fruity pineapple, or he was told to create a clone of the well-known Aventus - I can at least imagine the latter better. However, in my opinion, he hasn't quite succeeded because this scent as a dupe doesn't come close to Aventus, and there are significantly better clones of it. "The Scent of Peace for him" is more independent, yet one could compare it to Creed's bestseller, as certain parallels like the pineapple can be found in both fragrances, which, in my opinion, does not make it a dupe.

Overall, it is a very nice fragrance. True to the motto Scent of Peace. The rather dominant sweet and fruity pineapple, along with the citrusy bergamot in the opening, makes the scent initially smell like the only and true peace. To be honest, I can't imagine this fragrance being worn by a soldier in the trenches of World War II. In summary, the sweet opening primarily smells of peace, which makes it super fitting for today's peaceful Western world.
The longevity of the scent is generally very strong, and it can easily last 8 hours even in bright sunshine, warm weather, and slight sweat on the skin.
What I like less is that towards the end, it has a slightly musty smell, as another user has already mentioned. Nevertheless, this does not prevent me from giving the fragrance an 8.5.
While the scent can be worn effortlessly by both young and old, I see it more suited to a slightly younger target audience, which I belong to.
In my opinion, the perfume is more suitable for spring and summer, but I can still imagine wearing it in early and late winter due to the strong sweetness in the opening.

The bottle gets a 9/10 from me, as it looks really premium. Although it is a "classic" Bond bottle, the New Yorkers have still thought about what could be done differently and added the ribbon. Speaking of the ribbon: I think it looks like a bow tie that one would wear with a suit to an opera. I believe one could wear this scent on a warm summer evening as well, if applied a bit more subtly, as the sillage is, in my opinion, already quite strong. What I mean by that? The scent is, for me - at least in summer - a true all-rounder. It fits almost every situation and truly smells like peace. Whether worn in leisure time, at work, or when going out. One could even go to church with a subtle spray and leave it with the motto "Go in Peace," which one would indeed do with the applied perfume, as it simply smells like peace.

Thanks to the perfumer for this wonderful piece!

I'm not entirely sure anymore, but it should be an older one, around 2015-17. I've also heard that the new version is supposed to be extremely weak in terms of longevity compared to the original. It's really a shame that such a fundamentally great fragrance is turning "bad."

I have a 2020 batch, and on me, it becomes very close to the skin and weak after an hour. I have to touch my nose to my skin to smell anything. Which batch do you have?

...nice to read something positive about SOPFH again. I also have it on my shelf, ordered about 12 weeks ago. Can I assume that your bottle is also relatively new?
