The chocolatey sweetness of cocoa combined with the sweetness of saffron creates a gourmand-spicy opening that I have not experienced in this intensity in a fragrance before. A truly exciting combination. The cocoa presents itself to me as very dry and dusty.
In the heart, the scent then develops increasingly oriental. Myrrh and oud are the most prominent notes here, paired with the warmth of cedarwood and a powdery tuberose that remains very subtle in the background. As the fragrance evolves, a very beautiful leather note combined with patchouli and vanilla refines the base, and cocoa occasionally shines through once again.
Chelsea Nights represents the elegant scent accompaniment for strolls through the party and celebration nights in the trendy neighborhood of Manhattan. For me, it is a fragrance that does not scream for attention too loudly but can also be wonderfully worn for quieter dinner evenings due to its fine nuances.
