Beautifully rounded, herbal-green, slightly licorice-like timelessness

Yes, that’s how they were, the good old Italians. Just the elegant script on the very minimalist, smoothly shaped brown bottle speaks for a clear, serious scent of the old school.

And inside awaits an extremely harmoniously balanced herbal and spice ballad that truly embodies classic Italian style, managing to wrap together a multitude of inherently intense individual aromas into a package where nothing stands out or disturbs.

Sage, garden clove, and fern in high measure, refreshingly connected by lavender, pleasantly subtle in its slightly sour nature. Overall very unsweet, without being too harsh or bitter, rather plant-dry in a clean way. Whatever it is, a background aroma emerges that, when sniffed in passing, somewhat resembles unsweetened licorice or fresh, bitter coffee beans.

The base is very masculine, with moss and very rounded leather forming a well-balanced, slightly earthy and tobacco-like finish for the "Borsalino." Fine stuff, one of the really good Southern scents from the 80s.

Just as you describe "Borsalino" here, it lives on in my memory. It's really good and has such a beautiful masculine Northern Italian elegance like no other.
