Musk Cologne opens with bergamot, sweet orange, and blended tropical florals. Then the musk emerges with a hint of sandalwood. Beautiful, slightly animalic, warm and alive, like powdery fur. I would like to know more about Bortnikoff's source for deer musk and whether it is ethical. I haven't found any information online. Other than this sample set, I think I will limit my purchases of real animalics to vintage fragrances, as I am concerned about the survival of musk deer.
