Peachy for a dude

I'm a woman who knows what she likes--animalic ambers. I didn't think I'd be into chypres very much, but I've loved Bortnikoff's work, so I decided to sample Chypre du Nord. Right away I detected a lovely bergamot and orange, then nutmeg and peach. The peach and orange continued into the drydown, where powdery musk and a sharp, fresh, almost menthol outdoorsiness (oakmoss?) emerged. The fruit notes were not overly sweet or synthetic feeling, and despite the peachiness, this is quite a masculine scent in my opinion. A very nice chypre but even the presumably natural elements did not sway me much towards this genre.
