Velvet that falls on the skin like snowflakes and warms your soul ... that is Bottega Veneta Eau de Velours!
Actually, this is not my usual type.
Rose is tricky, especially in combination with patchouli. I didn't like unsweet scents at all until recently, but this fragrance has stuck with me after the test.
So I told myself, Sweetsmell ... out of the usual type and into the fragrance cabinet with the bottle!
I haven't regretted it ;)
About the scent:
Eau de Velours starts off peppery with citrus notes.
But before you can even say bergamot, the rose comes in. This rose is even beautiful to me. It is interspersed with plum sprinkles and underscored with jasmine. It becomes slightly spicy as it develops. However, my nose struggles to identify which spices are present.
The base features soft leather and a lot of patchouli.
Musk also joins in. Although it's not listed, I can smell it. It gives the fragrance a cozy-warm atmosphere.
Eau de Velours wears like velvet on the skin and is absolutely unsweet!
A fragrance for autumn/winter and the cooler spring days.
The longevity is a good 8 hours plus, and the sillage is not overwhelming but well noticeable for the first few hours; after that, I am subtly enveloped in a rosy patchouli-musk cloud.
I find Eau de Velours to be very effective - stylish - feminine!
The bottle is very pretty and high-quality with its leather ribbon. The bottle color matches the fragrance.
Conclusion:
Noble leather, patch & a red rose - velvety soft with plum sprinkles.
Subtle - unsweet - effective!
Velvet Water fits ... nicely so :)
Girls ... you really have to test this one ... it's so beautiful! :)
Somehow it won me over on the second sniff... the rose is at a tolerable level for me, and the plum, the patchouli, and everything else is a bit softer than the "original Bottega"... really a lovely, feminine scent, definitely suitable for going out, and it will surely be great in winter.
You've got me intrigued! I like leather, I like rose... And not sweet is definitely a must for me. So this one has to be tested ;) I also find my previous 2 Bottegas quite special.
I brought it home from the local perfume shop after a silly doctor's appointment (on my wrist) and I'm testing it right now. Wonderful, your comment is spot on. I'm just afraid it won't last very long on my dry skin...
Sweet scents aren't really my thing... But if you think it's so lovely, maybe I should let a little sample move in with me ;o)

Yes! It's really beautiful. Despite or because of the rose. If I didn't have the original... and if L'Absolu wasn't really nice too... I think one is enough after all.
I have this outlier in my collection too; right now it's a bit of a love-hate relationship. I can only explain it by the fact that I find the "scent" of gasoline, lacquer products, and shoe care items somehow appealing and fascinating. Let's see how long it lasts here...
You can hardly describe this dreamlike soul-soother better! Be it preferences or not, sometimes a fragrance just wins you over. I find the brand overall very interesting and high-quality.
I really like the combination of rose and patchouli, and I really appreciate your lovely comment! The women's section at Bottega Veneta seems to offer more beautiful options than the men's section, which has only disappointed me with bland scents so far.
I also tested this one, but I didn't take any notes. I remember thinking that I preferred the original Bottega Veneta. Probably because of the musk in this one, I think.
It's nice, although the rose in the opening bothers me a bit. But I still have the EDP, so I need to finish that first. Recently, I tested "Bottega Veneta L'Absolu" and found it to be very good. This can't go on like this!
