Monte Bianco to Spray
My skepticism towards gourmand fragrances is significant and usually keeps me from testing them. However, since I received a sample of Azalea from a very nice perfumer, I really like the Parco Palladiano line, and the scent is described as not sweet, I decided to conduct a full-day office test.
To me, the fragrance smells almost exclusively of the wonderful Italian dessert "Monte Bianco," made from cooked and pureed chestnuts, meringue, and fresh whipped cream, flavored with a bit of vanilla. I can't detect anything floral and also notice no scent progression.
For fans of such dessert scents, this is surely a great fragrance. I usually refrain from associating fragrances with seasons, but here I can clearly understand the autumn associations. The similarity to Eau Duelle, which is mentioned, I only perceive in the base.
Due to the sweetness, Azalea is not for me; the sillage is pleasant and the longevity is also acceptable.
