Summer in the Forest without Pomegranate
I searched for a decant for ages and then finally found a sharing in the Souk recently. I joined right away and was extremely curious, as the fragrance has been highly praised by a certain YouTuber… :D
Melagrana is a berry-like and otherwise green, bushy scent. The green bushiness almost reminds me of a walk in the woods on a fresh summer morning. The ground is still damp, but there’s this feeling in the air that it’s going to be a very hot day.
It is slightly fresh but mainly herbaceous and fruity. There is no strong sweetness present like in other fruity summer fragrances, but rather a really nice herbaceous note that makes it quite special. Over time, it becomes a bit woody, but overall it is a very well-balanced berry-green herbaceous scent. By the way, there is no pomegranate note here, as the name implies. I have no idea who came up with that name.
For me, it’s definitely a unisex fragrance, even though it is perceived differently by some here.
Longevity and sillage are average, with 5-7 hours of longevity on me.
It is priced a bit higher at around €270 for 100ml.
However, the fragrance is wonderfully suited for summer and something special. Very few will know it, let alone own it. This green herbaceous note mixed with the berry aspect is a nice change from purely citrus summer fragrances.
