Marathon
I have tried again and again with Neroli.
So many attempts, so many disappointments. The last attempt was Sauvage Neroli by Creed.
But even that had a longevity like a snowman in a steam sauna.
I felt like Neroli didn't want me, but I wanted Neroli. Especially in summer, it is
a very nice companion when it can be a bit fresher and more discreet.
Neroli, like most citrus scents, is difficult to tame in perfumes. The essential oils
evaporate just too quickly. They vanish in the blink of an eye and are usually gone fast.
Neroli d'Ispahan is a marathon runner.
I have never experienced such longevity.
This incredible freshness from ginger and subtly bitter cardamom that hits you right away
is already a nice introduction, very refreshing and clean.
Neroli doesn't keep you waiting long and soon shows itself in its full splendor and glory. Not in the slightest bit piercing or overly sour.
A delicate pepper note wafts around it. Spicy but not intrusive, very fine and subtle.
The final kick comes from a very nice musk note, a few spritzes of cistus, a hint of amber, and a few drops of patchouli. And that's exactly what makes it so special.
Neroli d'Ispahan is for me like a luxury lemonade, or like a lemon slice from
a gourmet patisserie. Refreshing, lightly creamy, fluffy-fine, and luxuriously casual.
And what is the best part?
It holds and holds and still maintains its position. Very powerful but fine at the same time.
Finally, a Neroli that you actually get something from,... at least I do!
Conclusion
A really beautiful summer scent that could appeal to all fans of citrus fragrances.
Longevity: Marathon quality. 12 hours. I can still smell it.
Sillage: Medium to strong. Depends on the dosage.
Gender: Unisex. Sour makes both happy.
High hit rate, I have been approached about my scent four times today.
It has something!
