Midnight Fantasy Britney Spears 2007 Eau de Parfum

There are days when the 12-year-old me inside screams for attention. On such days, I like to wear Midnight Fantasy. Midnight Fantasy smells like sweets from the kiosk next door, like first crushes, like endless, baseless giggling with my best friend, like annoying parents, and.... like hairspray... I admit: raspberry-scented hairspray. I've always loved the classic hairspray scent. In my childhood, there was a woman I always admired. She was beautiful and very extroverted. I always wanted to be like her. This woman was a hairdresser by profession, and her salon always smelled a bit like hairspray. She did too. Thus, this sweet scent from Britney Spears embodies a part of my prepubescent childhood dreams. Pure nostalgia.

However, I must admit that I am very grateful to Britney for not printing her name in bold on the bottle. This way, I can leave the blue bottle in the bathroom without shame. When you look at it, you can't tell who the scent is from. I'm more of a rocker girl than a Britney fan, and under these circumstances, I can simply suppress the fact that the scent really doesn't fit my usual taste ;-)
