Old love never rusts...

It was 2003 when I first caught a whiff of this fragrance by Bruno Banani. After my training, I only had parties on my mind, moved out of my parents' house, and started a shared apartment with my best friend. That was a good decision because we had a lot of fun during that time and didn’t miss any parties on the weekends, true to the motto "3 days awake" and so on. *Grin* :)
Anyway, my best friend came home from work back then and said he had gotten a fragrance that he discovered after work at Rossmann. Since this fragrance was sitting on the sideboard in the hallway, I, of course, had to sniff it and test it. I remember liking it so much that I bought it twice right away and used it up in no time. Unfortunately, it was discontinued shortly after, and until last year, I hadn’t had the chance to get it for a reasonable price. Thanks to an auction platform, I have it back in my possession since last year and enjoy wonderful memories when I smell it. It’s amazing what a fragrance can do to you. You don’t smell a certain scent for many years until the day comes when you get it back by chance and smell it again after years, and boom... So many images and situations that seemed long forgotten come back and are within reach. It’s quite a crazy thing.

But now to the fragrance...

Time To Play starts with a very refreshing and synthetic apple note that is surrounded by a slightly woody powderiness. The woody notes come across as a bit forest-like, which I would attribute to the pine wood. I personally hardly perceive the spices, although the pepper becomes noticeable towards the middle. The base is then wood, wood, and wood, with a slightly creamy touch from the sandalwood.

The H+S are in the good middle range for a fragrance that can only be found or was found in the drugstore shelf, and it lasts about 5-6 hours.

The bottle is a matter of taste. I don’t particularly like it, but in the end, it’s all about the content. The sprayer, however, is excellent.

Conclusion...

Still a lovely fragrance that I associate with a lot and that I still like very much. How did you like it, and who still has it in their collection? It would be interesting to know who among you liked or likes it?!

Best regards, Micha :)

Very nice review, I unfortunately don't know the scent at all. But you're right, old fragrances and music can evoke so many beautiful images within us........

I don't know the scent, but I really enjoyed reading your text and I can only agree with you: I recently managed to buy several of those "old, almost forgotten" fragrances again, and I feel the same way... images come to mind immediately and create associations that only scents or music can evoke.
