Brit Rhythm for Him Burberry 2013 Eau de Toilette

Truly no natural talent this Brit Rhythm, that much is clear. Not a total clumsy oaf either, but he has no original ideas, shamelessly copying from his older brothers and role models, and has an unpleasant mustiness in the undertones. That's not enough to make him a Dancing Star 2013 among men's fragrances... Not even in the Top 10. His rock image and cool commercial don't help him either, and I'd rather stick with other rock fragrances; just the other day I rediscovered Azzaro's extraordinary Decibel for myself.

I'm not quite sure if I like that Rhythm leans so closely to the original Brit. But you can definitely sense the family resemblance, although the original is much rounder. With Rhythm, imagine the original Brit made mustier and darker through spices, almost a bit smoky-stinky. A balsamic liqueur note emerges, which faintly reminds of licorice, but only very lightly. The scent remains creamy and also reminds me of the Armani Codes, just significantly worse, scratchier, and years too late. This piercing-penetrating undertone is perhaps meant to be Rock & Roll, but is rather annoying and comes off like a genetically modified, poorly bred patchouli. Cardamom, leather, tonka, and incense are the passable rock stars on stage. They just make for outdated, musty soft rock.

The rubbery bottle has style and is a pleasure to hold. It lasted almost 7 hours and its sillage was in the medium range.

Unfortunately, after the original Brit and the great London from Burberry, there was almost nothing but hot air. Nevertheless, I will soon take a closer look at the previously untested The Beat and Co., because I expect more than this amateur dancer's new appearance!
