drool lust crave
This is my first Burberry fragrance. The other Burberrys never interested me, mainly because of the terrible check patterns (sorry to all the fans) and the regular My Burberry was too soapy and bland for me.
Then I discovered My Burberry Black during my weekly addiction trips to the perfume store. I grabbed the bottle (my God, what a chunk, at least here in D.) and sprayed it on a test strip. Wow.. What a wave of sweetness hit me. I couldn't pick out any of the ingredients. It was just sweet!
Well, it was okay. I stuck the strip in my handbag and moved on.
When I emptied my handbag that evening, the strip came back into my hands. Ohhh.. that smells good. What was that again? My Burberry Black came to mind. Since it now had something I liked, I placed it on my dresser. All evening and night, my room smelled of My Burberry. Incredible, even Alien and Angel couldn't achieve that with me. I was really fascinated.
A week later, I strolled back into the big D. and sprayed the fragrance on my wrist. Yes, it is intense and sweet.. but it has something. Something that captivates me.. honestly, I don't smell any peach nectar or anything like that. I only smell a sugary sweet rose and the jasmine. Later, the amber and patchouli come through and make it more luscious.
But I don't care, it just smells good. I love this fragrance.
In summer, it would be too much for me. Now that it’s getting colder, I could bathe in it. But be careful, as mentioned before, one or two spritzes are more than enough with this fragrance. More and you’ll get a headache and annoy others with it..
I think that despite this lush rosy sweetness, the fragrance has something elegant about it. It is very sweet, but also sexy and feminine. This is not a teen fragrance, but something for women who know what they want! It’s more of an evening scent. Wearable during the day, but then preferably in the colder months.
Even though My Burberry Black doesn’t exactly stand out, it has potential. But I don’t care, it doesn’t always have to be special :) I’m into it and will carry the scent with me for a long time ;)

"Captivating" hits the nail on the head. It has that "je ne sais quoi"... But I know I'm leaving a trophy behind.

A year ago, I had a sample of it, but I didn't buy it because I found it too ordinary, not outstanding. Now, a year later, I have too many extraordinary scents (in my opinion) that I hardly use. With a great offer here in the forum, I finally decided to go for it, and I'm pretty sure I'll wear it more often than some of the big hits :-))
