Take Your Time ...
Designer fragrances often seem to be stuck in an endless string of "Hmm, don't I know this from somewhere?" When you walk into one of those perfume stores, it's almost as if you're experiencing a scent cocktail of the thousandth repetition. But 2022 and 2023 have ushered in a new era - the time of vanilla and tonka bean. These two notes are suddenly everywhere and dominate many perfumes. Goddess is considered by many to be the new vanilla fragrance par excellence.
But how does the scent smell? When I sprayed it for the first time, the opening was so off-putting that I thought I had triggered an olfactory accident. Synthetic notes mingled with alcohol and an unpleasant, cleaning product-like lavender note. I immediately discarded the test strip. My nose needed a break ...
But after many had raved about this scent, I decided to give it another chance and even try it on my skin. The opening was still just as bad. Balea vanilla shower gel meets lavender all-purpose cleaner. I definitely had a moment of regret.
But after an hour - oh, what a relief! It became bearable. It reminded me a bit of those Kayali fragrances. In the drydown, only vanilla remains, and it’s not so synthetic, but rather creamy and slightly sweet. But to be completely honest, this scent is nothing to write home about. Just like with Vanilla 28, I would rather use this fragrance for layering with others. It is simply vanilla. That’s not bad, but it’s also not groundbreaking. What can I say? A vanilla fragrance with an initial shock moment - just like life itself!

Ich hab mich beim ersten Test ehrlicherweise direkt gefragt, warum der rausgebracht wurde, wo die Ähnlichkeit zu Mon Guerlain so groß ist... aber schlecht ist der Duft nicht
