Hug for the senses
Story Time: Back in 2019, I was on my honeymoon in Switzerland, and I stayed at the Sheraton in Zurich. They had this amazing set of soap, shampoo, and lotion called Le Gran Bain. It was like a little slice of heaven!
The occasion was romantic, and the Swiss countryside was just breathtaking. But amidst all that beauty, there was this incredible scent that lingered in the air. It was like a whisper of love, and it became synonymous with Switzerland in my mind.
Fast forward to today, and I’m feeling a strong nostalgia for that scent. But guess what? It’s nowhere to be found! I did some digging and found out that Sheraton had commissioned the founder of Byredo to create it as a unisex fragrance that’s both modern and classic.
As I was exploring Hong Kong and Macau during my holiday, I stumbled upon a Byredo store in Londoner. I couldn’t resist trying it out, and to my surprise, it was almost identical to Le Gran Bain! It’s a bit more floral and less masculine, but it definitely has me dreaming up another honeymoon in Interlaken.
The scent is incredibly soft and has a minimal sillage. It lasts for 8-12 hours with just two puffs, which is perfect for me. (Any more, and it turns a bit too feminine for my taste.)
Overall, I’d rate it 10/10 and consider it excellent value for money.
By the way, I wear it to bed right before I hug my wife to dreamland. It’s like a little hug for my senses!
