Based on the name, I didn't expect to like this and I was waiting for a more "animal" scent to come through. I expected something much more masculine. However, this turned out to be lovely. You get a bit of brightness though it's indiscernible to me. The base notes quickly come through and you get the creamy sandalwood and amber with a touch of tobacco. A lot of the Byredo fragrances I've tried seem to dry down to this light creamy musky base but fortunately it's one I love!
